Fairouz tribute, Mashrou' Leila reunion rumors, and a Philip Glass premiere
The Beiteddine Festival, now in its thirty-eighth year, has unveiled its 2026 program with characteristic restraint and ambition. Twelve nights of programming in the palace's inner courtyard span classical, contemporary jazz, and a single rock-leaning closing weekend.
Headlines: an opening-night Fairouz centenary tribute conducted by Karim Hojeij with the Lebanese Philharmonic; a North African collaboration anchored by Souad Massi; the Lebanese premiere of Philip Glass's Symphony No. 14; and persistent (still unconfirmed) rumors of a one-night-only Mashrou' Leila reunion. Tickets release in waves starting May 1.
